I don’t know when the first mail hit my Inbox. Maybe I missed it. For the last three or four weeks, I’ve not been very active in blogging, TechNet forums, etc.….      

When I opened my Inbox today, I saw a reminder mail to claim the Microsoft® Community Contributor Award (MCC) 2012. I am very glad that I didn’t miss the reminder mail 

This is the second consecutive year I’ve received the MCC award. However, I still don’t understand the significance of the Microsoft® Community Contributor Award, as it remains a virtual award to me.

I/We (in person) have never been invited to meetings or conferences. Are there any actual benefits to MCC awards?
