MVP Summit 2019 – My Experience, Overview, and NDA Stuff!
I wanted to share my experience attending the Microsoft MVP Summit 2019, held in Bellevue and Redmond, Washington, USA.
This was an incredible opportunity for me to learn more about the latest developments in the tech world and network with like-minded individuals.
This MVP summit was my 4th MVP summit in a row. It has always been an excellent experience for me. The 2019 MVP summit started with a sad note on the loss of Atta Elayyan.

Is the MVP Summit a Free Event?
Yes, MVP Summit is an exclusive free event for Microsoft MVP award holders. There are no registration fees, and Microsoft will provide accommodation.
You might need to share the room with one of your fellow MVPs.
The only money you have to spend is on travel and a US visa (if you are a non-US citizen). The cost of travel depends on the country or region you are traveling from.
You might need to spend some money on dinner, but the rest of the food is free.
Note! – From India to Seattle might cost you around 1000 to 1200 USD!
MVP Summit 2019 Content
The Microsoft MVP program has a very strict non-disclosure agreement (NDA). MVPs are not supposed to share summit content with fellow IT Pros or Developers.
All you can see about MVP Summit 2019 via Twitter, Facebook, etc. are NDA slides! I can only share there is much many exciting stuff coming out for SCCM, Intune, and Windows admins! Keep focused!
During the MVP Summit 2019, there were many in-depth technical discussions and brainstorming sessions. Meeting with the developers and Project Managers of Intune, SCCM, Windows, and Defender ATP was refreshing.
MVP Summit Parties and Dinner Options
Microsoft will treat you well during the MVP Summit 2019. I got tired of eating free food. Many parties were organized by Microsoft MVP regional teams, the MVP Program, Microsoft SCCM, Intune, and Windows product groups.
Also, there will be more networking opportunities with fellow MVPs and vendors.
Jet Lag Effect – MVP Summit 2019
Jet lag was a “real” villain for me in MVP Summit 2019. I reached Seattle on Sunday afternoon, and it took until Wednesday to overcome the jet lag. The funniest part is my return flight was on Thursday. So, it’s time to get over US jet lag once you are back home.
Worth Attending Microsoft MVP Summit?
As I mentioned above, you might need to spend a lot of money to attend the Microsoft MVP summit. Yes, the travel expense is huge, especially if you are travelling from Asia, Australia, or other parts of the world.
Is this event worth attending? My answer is YES! It is. I recommend attending it once if you are a Microsoft MVP.
I have seen people attend the Microsoft MVP Summit 2019 event to develop their business, improve their networking skills, and improve their technical knowledge.
For me, the priority is improving my technical knowledge and sharing my field experience with product groups and fellow MVPs. I also learn a lot from their experience.
