Let’s discuss the Microsoft Intune Product Family in this post. Microsoft does not offer a product called Microsoft Endpoint Manager because it recently changed its brand name to Microsoft Intune.

SCCM or ConfigMgr and Intune will be rebranded during MS Ignite 2019. In Ignite 2022, Microsoft changed the UEM brand name to Microsoft Intune. Thus, there is no longer a product suite called MEM or Microsoft Endpoint Manager.

From the Microsoft perspective, Intune and SCCM are merging into one product offering called Microsoft Intune. Microsoft Endpoint Manager MEM is Microsoft Intune Now.

Microsoft Endpoint Manager(a.k.a. MEM) has more than two or three productions under one branding. Using Microsoft Intune, you can take a flexible path to cloud management. The Microsoft Intune product family has six products under its umbrella.

Microsoft Intune is a group of products. The following is the list of products:

• Microsoft Intune – Cloud-based unified management.
• Microsoft Configuration Manager – On-premises and cloud-based management.
  • Windows Autopilot – Simplified device deployment.
  • Endpoint Analytics – Data-driven recommendations.
• Microsoft Defender for Endpoint – Endpoint protection from cyber threats.

Microsoft announced Intune in Microsoft Ignite 2022!

It was quite a surprising announcement during Microsoft Ignite that SCCM and Intune are becoming one product—MEM. I never had any clue about these changes!

@djammmer – I know many folks are r/presenting content for the next few weeks. We at Micr oft w still refer to the product as #configmgr. We will not be using “system center” or #SC int reference, as Config r still exists! And it is not going away! But it is not part of MEM.

• In addition to Intune and ConfigMgr, MEM includes the Device Management Admin Center (DMAC) and Desktop Analytics.
