In this post, we will examine the Microsoft Customer Connection Program Digital Badges available for Microsoft Endpoint Manager Intune and ConfigMgr (A.K.A. SCCM).

Microsoft seems to be building a new community program more focused on enterprise clients. The New Microsoft values direct interaction and contributions with product groups and enterprise clients.

Is it the new way of engaging with enterprise customers & rewarding their contributors? I don’t have any further information about this program from Microsoft. Let’s share how many of you already got your badges in the comments.

Microsoft has many customer connection programs, and rewarding those customer connection engagements is something new. I know many individuals (not Microsoft MVPs) who feed Microsoft product groups via customer connection channels. This program has been there for many years.

Patch My PC

As per Microsoft Principal Program Manager Lead Lee Dicks Clark, this type of program helps them to innovate & build new products + features.

NOTE! – I don’t think this program is anyways related to the Microsoft MVP program.

Community Member

The Community Member badge is the starting point of the Microsoft Customer Connection reward program.

As per Microsoft, earning the following badge also validates the skills associated with using Intune & Configuration Manager to protect an organization’s information and devices.

The Community Member digital badge validates an earner’s commitment to providing technical feedback to the Microsoft Endpoint Manager product group.

The following are the earning criteria for the Microsoft Customer Connection Program membership badge.

  • Earners must be enrolled in the Microsoft Endpoint Manager Customer Connection Program (CCP)

Engineering Influencer

The Engineering Influencer digital badge seems to be the second stage (?) of the Microsoft Customer Connection reward program. I’m not sure, though, whether this is the second level.

As per Microsoft, the earners of the Engineering Influencer badge are the community leaders in the Microsoft Customer Connection Program.

The Engineering Influencer digital badge validates an earner’s commitment to providing ongoing, consistent, and deep technical feedback to the Microsoft Endpoint Manager product group.

Does the Community Influencer badge seem to be the TOP stage of the Microsoft Customer Connection reward program?

As per Microsoft, the earners of this badge are the “TOP” community leaders in the Customer Connection Program.

Community Influencer digital badge validates an earner’s commitment to go above and beyond to provide ongoing, consistent, and deep technical feedback to the MEM product group.

  1. Hi Anoop,

I’ve been trying to signup for the Microsoft Customer Connection Program, but am having issues. I’d like to get the membership badges, but am at a loss on how to get them. I’ve reached out to members of the techcommunity.microsoft.com, but no helpful info. I just keep getting directed to Credly.com.

Would you be able to point me in the right direction? I’m hoping to get the exact URL to signup for the program, and get some guidance to getting the badge.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

    David

    1. StaffHello David – I thought the invite should come from a Microsoft representative? I don’t know whether it’s open to the public. I never signed up myself to enroll in this program.

Also, your organization should be part of private preview programs to get enrolled into this if I understand it correctly. There are some NDA agreements and other criteria as well.
