Let’s quickly look at the Intune Vs ConfigMgr Adoption Stats shared by Microsoft during Ignite 2021 (March edition). There are no surprises here because we have seen similar adoption predictions in Ignite 2019.

The adoption percentage is based on Windows 10 devices. It does not include iOS, macOS, or Android devices managed by Intune. Steve Dispensa presented the following interesting data points.

As of January 2021, 135 million Windows 10 devices are under management. Of these, 29 percent are currently cloud-enlightened. Microsoft forecasts that by 2022, 50 percent of Windows 10 devices will be cloud-attached.

The adoption percentages of Intune versus ConfigMgr have seen significant changes over the years. In 2019, according to data from Ignite 2019, Intune had a 5% adoption rate while ConfigMgr was at 95%. More details are given below.
