We hear an issue with Intune iOS ABM DEP Enrollment Error Awaiting Final Configuration from Customer. Microsoft is yet to confirm the issue with an advisory or incident.
A user Cosmin-Gabriel Barau on Twitter raised Intune iOS ABM DEP Enrollment issue first. “are there any issues enrolling Apple devices to Intune?” Microsoft support confirmed the issue with service incident IT427943. The impacted tenants will get the details such as the root cause and workarounds for this issue in Intune Service Health Status Message.
On a similar topic, Microsft plans to remove the legacy authentication method from the iOS iPadOS ADE enrollment Profile. The Company Portal is one of the authentication methods to use while authenticating users. A few weeks back, Microsoft announced that by November 2022, they would remove the Company Portal authentication option.
This authentication method change also includes the removal of the Run Company Portal in the Single App Mode option. More details are available in a separate advisory MC284343. We don’t think the current issue is not related to the issue discussed in this post.

Issue: Intune iOS ABM DEP Enrollment Error
Jan Bakker highlighted the issue on Twitter, and he mentioned more details on the error of the customers with Europe Tenants. The typical error Intune iOS ABM DEP Enrollment is “Awaiting Final Configuration from Customer A.”

We are still waiting for more information from Microsoft on this issue. Moreover, Microsoft has acknowledged the issue and investigating the issue. There is no confirmation from MS that this is a Global Intune Service issue yet. The latest reply from Microsoft Intune Support Team on Twitter is given below.
