Important News! Microsoft fixed ConfigMgr SMS_SERVICE_CONNECTOR Issue. Recently, Microsoft recognized an issue where security policies configured from Intune are not synching to ConfigMgr.

SMS_SERVICE_CONNECTOR is Microsoft’s Configuration Manager component, and acts as a gateway for processing Microsoft Intune Admin center initiated actions. SMS_SERVICE_CONNECTOR can process the request when an action is initiated from Microsoft Intune.

Due to an issue affecting SMS_SERVICE_CONNECTOR, users received an error message every 15 minutes when the component couldn’t connect. If the Configuration Manager site fails to connect to required endpoints for a cloud service, it raises a critical status message ID 11488. When it can’t connect to the service, the SMS_SERVICE_CONNECTOR component status changes to critical.

SMS_SERVICE_CONNECTOR plays a crucial role in the Configuration Manager’s ability to manage and monitor systems. In this blog post, I will explain the Fixed ConfigMgr SMS_SERVICE_CONNECTOR Issue, which will be very helpful if you have a similar experience.

As I mentioned before, Intune users get an error related to ConfigMgr SMS_SERVICE_CONNECTOR. Microsoft has fixed this issue. Users get the service of SMS_SERVICE_CONNECTOR the same as before.

Users get an error message every 15 minutes when the component cannot connect. The following error message occurs when the component cannot connect to https://eu.gateway.configmgr.manage.microsoft.com/. This issue was not only limited to the European region; The same experiences were reported from multiple regions.
