Latest Windows 10 Insiders Build 10240 Before RTM? Microsoft released the last and latest Windows 10 build for Windows Insiders before the Windows 10 RTM release on July 29, 2015.
Why is this the last insider build before the Windows RTM release? Many sources (blogs) confirmed that Microsoft stopped working on the new builds and started working on the Windows 10 build 10240 updates.
Another critical point is that Microsoft has not released ISO for this build, so this Windows 10 build is available only through Windows Update. Along with ISOs, Microsoft has removed the Windows 10 keys from Windows Insiders.
It’s not supported when installing Windows 10 TP build #10240 as a clean install path. Microsoft Supports upgrades from here until 7/29.

Latest Windows 10 Insiders Build 10240 Before RTM
I’ve installed the latest Windows 10 Insiders build on Surface 3, and it’s fantastic. Based on the quality of Windows 10 build 10240, I can assume that Microsoft is almost ready for the release.

I’ve also noticed that Windows 10 build 10240 comes without the “Windows Insider Preview” watermark. Microsoft may now use the retail channel to deliver this update. Microsoft software license terms have also been included in this build (I never noticed this before).
New Apps for the new Windo: This is one of the messages you will get when you almost finish the 10240 build process. Microsoft is promoting universal applications that work on all platforms.
The apps (Photos, Microsoft Edge, Music & Films, and TV) don’t just come with Windows 10; they were built for it, and they’ll work as beautifully on your phone and tablet as on your PC.
Windows 10 Microsoft Edge’s newest version is available with build 10240. The latest Microsoft Edge version is 20.10240.16384.0. Microsoft Edge is faster than all other browsers!! More details about my favorites of Microsoft Edge are here.

- On Google Octane, Edge is 11% faster than Chrome
- On Apple JetStream, Edge is 37% faster than Chrome
Windows 10 build 10240 has an improved version of Microsoft Photos universal /modern application available on all Windows devices. The latest version of Microsoft Photos is 15.710.18110.0.
Microsoft has introduced a new Microsoft Music modern application, Groove Music (previously known as Xbox Musi,c), in the latest Windows 10 build, 10240. The newest version of the Groove Music app is 3.6.1154.0.
Movies and TV are other modern applications that Microsoft introduced with Windows 10. Unfortunately, Groove Music & Movies and TV apps are unavailable for the India region. I’m not able to log in to the applications. The latest version of the Movies and TV application is 3.6.1154.0.
