ConfigMgr SCCM Log file details for Linux Mac Unix Devices. Configuration Manager 2012 SP1 added support for Linux, Macintosh, and Unix operating systems.

As of March 2019, SCCM no longer supports Linux and UNIX endpoints. This change was implemented with the release of version 1902, successfully ending support for SCCM on Linux.

Organizations that formerly relied on SCCM for Linux infrastructure management must now find and implement alternative keys to meet their endpoint management needs.

However, the log file details for these Operating Systems were recently published. The following are the quick details of the Linux, Unix, and Macintosh log files.

Linux and UNIX (ccmexec.bin)

scxcm.log –> This log provides info aboutInfo about CCMEXEC. Log file location =/var/opt/microsoft/configmgr/scxcm.log

scxcmprovider.log—> This log file provides details about the service. Log File Location =/var/opt/microsoft/configmgr/scxcmprovider.log

Mac (Macintosh)

  • CCMClient.log –> This log file provides details about the Application Management Inventory. Log File Location =/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/CCM/Logs
  • CCMAgent.log –> This log file provides details aboutLogoff and Login Activities. File Location =~/Library/Logs
  • CCMNotifications.log –> This log file provides details about CM notifications. File Location = ~/Library/Logs
  • CCMPrefPane.log–> This log file provides details about the status and error. File Location = ~/Library/Logs
